Chilean Society of Medical Acupuncture

Chilean Society of Medical Acupuncture was founded in Chile on 13 October, 2005. It owns 60 registered members. All of them are western medicine doctors with certificate of acupuncture, and 50 other researchers or students related with acupuncture. Dr. Hector Merino Montt holds the post of president.

The Society is intended contributing to the study, progress, development, refinement and popularization of science and medicine, especially anything related to the Medical Acupuncture, promotes research in all matters concerning the Medical Acupuncture and the exchange and dissemination of scientific and technological knowledge related promotes knowledge of all kinds of technical, scientific, cultural and generally any activity that is considered a contribution to the field of Medical Acupuncture, encourages and disseminates all scientific interests, academics, technicians and teachers who directly or indirectly affect in the performance of the Medical Acupuncture, and organizes lectures, courses, conferences, congresses and etc..
